Creating new company

Post by Siobhmrk4 » 10 Jan 2009, 17:44

Hi, I am training to be an accounting technician, one exam which is Sage. I need to set up new companies and delete old ones, as I am constantly practicing different case studies. I don't know how to do this, and i would appreciate any help. The version i am using is 10.02.0022.

The way to wipe the current data set is to use the rebuild option in File>Maintenance this allows you to remove all transactions / invoices / sops, pops etc.

You will probably want to retain customer / suppliers and nominal ledgers between scenarios.

Backup your old scenario before you rebuild, just in case you remove something that you later want to use.
For just about anything Sage :- Discount subscriptions, pay-as-you-go support, application integration, reports, layouts, linked excel spreadsheets, analysis or any other help making life with sage easier/less time consuming Contact me.

or File delete, delete company. U cant delete the default company, the only way to do this is either a rebuild, or delete/rename the accdata folder and create a blank one in its place
