Line 50 version 9 - sage.exe process left running when exit

Post by dalexander » 05 Oct 2008, 15:24

We recently upgraded to XP pro SP3 and latest version of Norton 3560, not sure its relevant but since then my wife who uses Sage daily now finds that for some reason when she exists Sageline50 the process sage.exe is left running and when she tries to go back in she gets message can only have one person logged in at a time.

Temporary solution is to go to taks manager and manually end sage.exe and this allows her to go back in.

Not sure this is a sage issue or something else, ever heard of it, I could not find similar issues when searching the help

David

It could be Norton 360.

Personally I don't like the Norton products any more after having been a fan of them for many years, I find that it causes too many issues with other bits of software.

Uninstall norton 360 and see if the problem goes away.

If it does, you can then either spend a lot of time with norton resolving the issue or install something else (such as eset nod 32) on trial and if it works, buy licensing.

If it doesn't make sure you have installed all patches from Sage and post back here.
