Username already in use

Help

I've just done loads of work in sage and my computer just crashed. Now sage thinks i'm still logged in and is not letting me back in saying username already in use, i think it thinks i'm still logged in. How do i get back in to check my works still there.

Please help

Normally, Sage will just tell you that the username is logged in and ask you if you want to clear it. As long as you know that no one else is logged in with the username then it is fine to clear it.

There was an older version that DID NOT give you the option to clear the username, I am sure that a fix was issued for it, I would check you have all the service packs for your version applied. You can get them from here http://www.sage.co.uk/updates/Line50.aspx

If all else fails, then you can rename the QUEUE.DTA file in your data directory, this removes all queue information and should resolve the issue. You should ensure everyone is logged out before you do this, it is wise to back up before altering anything.
