Is it possible to access SageLine 50 from a Terminal Server? Does this require any additional configuration or licenses?

Hi

We use terminal services for our warehouse to access Sage. We did not buy any additional licenses etc and the system works well

I have several large users running it under terminal services. It works better than over a LAN

Do your users run on the Terminal Server as standard Users, or with higher privileges.

Normally higher.

But we have got it running with standard, it was a lot of work.

I can't remember all the access rights issues we had, but, there are lots of places that sage writes and reads from.

We used filemon to work out where things were going wrong.

There are several placed that the sage user needs access to:

These are version dependant as well

c:\Program Files\common\Sage Line50\*
c:\Program Files\common\Sage SBD\*
c:\Program Files\common\Sage shared\*
c:\program files\Sage installation folder\*
%windir%\sage.ini
c:\Documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\Sage\*

you need to be sure that access rights are being inherited by the contents of the folder as well as the folder itself. Read and write are not enough it needs FULL permissions
