Corrupt sales orders

Sage line 50 Financial controller

I have a couple of corrupt sales orders. If I run any maintenance functions they hang when they reach the sales order file. Trying to delete them causes Sage to shut down. Trying to edit them hangs

Any suggestions welcome :?

Restore to a previous good backup.
Delete the entire Sales order system using rebuild option.
Employ Sage, me or someone like me to fix the problem.
