Can anyone tell me which NC to post a profit on disposal to. I have been told that it should not be to a 4000 account, but to an 8000 account in the Nominal.

I know profit on disposal is treated as non-trading income, so why not post it to an income account?

If the auditor wants to move it, it is a few seconds work for them at year end. So put it where you want to have it.
