Importating Data file

Post by Office1 » 02 Mar 2020, 13:48

Hi there,

Our accountant is using another version of SAGE and their nom codes are only 3 digits whereas ours is 4. Is there any point in trying to import data file from them ?

TIA

I doubt they are using Sage if they have 3 digit nominals.

You could open the sheet, replace their nominal codes with yours and then import it.

If if ia a once a year thing, then I would do it manually, if is was a daily thing, I would setup lookups and have formulas to convert them, or even use a third party tool to automate the importing of them.

It is all about Horses for Courses.
