I have recently ran our year end and archived the old data. We have never used archive before but due to speed issues we have this year.
When I try to log into Open, Company Archive, the program shuts down. I am hoping it is something as simple as it not knowing where to look, but I cannot find anywhere that asks for a location.
I am hoping someone can help.

Hi Nikki

The problem could be anyone of a number of things. So we will nee to do a little diagnostic work first.

What I would like you to do is to

1/ File>Maintenance>CheckData, if there are any errors, stop and post here
2/ File>Backup
3/ File>Maintenance>Reindex and compress, say okay to doing the compression at the end of reindexing
4/ File>Maintenance>CheckData, if there are any errors, stop and post here
5/ Tools>Period End>Archive Company (This will make a mid year archive)
6/ File>Open>Company Archive, select the archive just made and see if you can access it.
