HELP!!! WE HAVE AROUND 200 CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS AND 50 SUPPLIER ACCOUNTS ON SAGE. (TONS OF WORK) WE HAVE 100 ERRORS THAT SAY "NET AMOUNT IN HEADER DISAGREES WITH TOTAL NET IN SPLITS" WHEN YOU CLICK "FIX" IT SAYS THEY CANNOT BE FIXED. CAN'T FIND OUT WHEN THE ERRORS WERE MADE EITHER?!

i'VE BEEN INFORMED THAT ALL I CAN DO IS RESTORE SAGE LINE 50 AND PRINT EVERYTHING OFF BEFORE HAND AND RE ENTER IT MANUALLY....THIS WOULD TAKE THOUSANDS OF HOURS.... IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY ROUND THIS?

PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN THROW ANY LIGHT ON THIS AT ALL OR WHY IT MAY HAVE HAPPENED... I BACK EVERYTHING UP ONTO A USB PEN DAILY BUT THIS IS NO GOOD EWITHER AS IT WILL BE CORRUPTED TO I GUESS?

MANY THANKS, NATALIE

This is why backup is so important!

I suggest that you need more than one method of storage.

I think with our internet connected world, one good additional way is to email a backup to a gmail or yahoo webmail account. Then you always have something to go back to.

---------------

Regarding your current problem, there is not much you can do without special tools.

I could look at your data and give you an idea of how much damage there is and how much it would cost to fix and what would get lost in the process.
