Every time I print a purchase order or invoice, the printer spits out an extra blank page, it shows on the preview too. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Does it do this on "Standard" Layouts or just a custom layout?

What version of Line 50 are you using?

Are you running the Standard version or the CIS version of 2007?

Have you installed the revised reports pack and all the other updates for your version ?

There are a few things that come to mind as potential causes.

1/ An issue with the default printer driver

2/ A User specific fault

3/ A fault in the installation / configuration.

1/ The printer driver can be easily checked/eliminated by just changing the default printer on your PC to a different one.

2/ Log on to windows and Sage as a different user and see if the problem goes away.

3/ The next is a bit more tricky as un-installing the product does not remove everything. But for simplicity sake it is worth doing.

The final action is to do a complete uninstall. following the uninstall delete the folders left behind and the contents

Assuming you do not have any other sage products installed and you had a standard installation delete the following folders
C:\Program Files\Sage
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Sage Line50
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Sage Report Designer 2007
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Sage SBD
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Sage Shared

Delete the Sage.ini file

If you have a registry cleaning product, it is probably worth using it to remove any old keys left behind at this point as well (I like EasyCleaner from Toni Arts http://personal.inet.fi/business/toniarts/ecleane.htm )

Do a clean reinstallation.

Install all the latest patches, fixes, report upgrades and PDF updates from the Sage update site.

Restore your Data

See if all okay, restore your

Thanks for your reply Bruce. I'm out of the office for a few days but will give it a go when I get back. (Worth mentioning that this happens on both of the network PC's so will apply your ideas to both) Thanks again.

Well that makes it VERY weird, an identical fault in two installations seems too improbable. I would hold back from re-installing.

What is the history, is this a new installation or did you upgrade from an earlier version?

My thoughts are that perhaps the layout got badly converted to the new report designer or that the installation is wrong, ie not installed locally for the network user or something like that...

Are you sure that ALL layouts are broken? Try going into the demo data and using a layout from there.

How did you install the second user, did you use the netsetup program or did you install from the cd most importantly is it installed locally?

The program was an upgrade (supplied through barclays), that is installed locally on each machine with the data held on our server.

I tried with the demo data and get the same problem!

The second PC (both infact) was installed using the upgrade CD directly on that client.
