Report Designer Finding Things Help Please

Hi I'm new here and relatively new to Sage. I've been designing loads of reports but it takes ages to find where each expression is hidden.

I've renamed my Customer Analysis 1 field and have designed our own "Sales Order" but how can I add the Customer Analysis 1 field to the report?

I've been using standard reports and copying their expressions but none of the reports use Analysis 1 so I'm stuck.

Thank you

S

If you rename the Analysis codes, it doesn't change the actual field name in the database. So if you look in the Report Designer - select View and then Variables - look at the tables on the list and select the table Sales_Order the 3 custom fields fields are ANALYSIS_1, ANALYSIS_2 and ANALYSIS_3 no matter what you have changed them to.
If it was the analysis fields in the Customer that you changed - those are in Sales_Ledger and are also called ANALYSIS_1, 2 and 3.

There is no data dictionary or map, you just have to look at the variables toolbar and guess ! :-)

I have a run down of the fields in the databases, however, these are not the same as those exposed in ODBC.

There is an old tool to identify the field names but it only works in Internet explorer
