I am pretty sure that it is going to be a user not the programme doing it all on it's own.
Hopefully they will learn.
Perhaps you might remove access rights to prevent users doing it.

Re: All Purchase Orders Get marked as Completed
I was sure it was that too, but this is the third time. The only other thing i can think of is that our accountant was balancing a lot of cheques that morning...unless that had an effect on the PO's

Re: All Purchase Orders Get marked as Completed
What are the methods by which a user can close multiple PO's? I need to do some testing such as a boot left on a keyboard etc?

For a computer glitch
===================
I do not think it is possible for data glitch to do this, there are goods in records written the stock table and the purchase orders are altered.
Look at the stock table and see if goods have been delivered in, a glitch just would not do this.
For a user glitch
===============
To complete all PO's that are "on order" you need to hit the receive deliveries button without having selected any orders.
At the dialogue box "No orders have been selected do you wish to process all orders you need to hit yes.
Alternatively you can select lots of orders by hitting swap or other means and then hit the receive deliveries button. And then confirm you want to do it.
In older versions there were not so many warnings. However most users should have noticed.
To mitigate things.
===================
I would use Access rights to remove the receive deliveries button from everyone. Then add a second user for whomever actually receives the goods in and give them and only them access.
I would try and avoid a culture of blame, if the environment is one that is blame free, users are less likely to deny their actions.

Re: All Purchase Orders Get marked as Completed
I appreciate the help and i think the scenario you mentioned above with selecting no PO's and autocompleting is what has occured.
I will disable the option to receive goods and hope all goes well, Thanks so much for the help.
I will be sure to contact you if we ever need sage support again
