Sage is Hanging

I am using Sage 50 Accounts professional 2016. Whenever I make transactions in customer I can able to save for the transaction i am making but then the sage gets hanged and i have to press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to end the sage.

Also I am not able to sort out customers by name or amount, the filter option is not working with customers.

Can you pleas anyone help me out with this problem

Backup, check your data then run the reindex option in file>maintenance
