SageForum for UK versions of Sage 50- Help and support.

I have loaded Instant Accounts v17 on a new Windows 10 machine and I get the following messages when I start it:-

'Data has been found from a previous version. This will now be converted to the current version'

Select yes and get

'Unsupported program version. This data cannot be converted'

Then sage shuts down.

There is no old version of sage on this machine and no old company files or backups of anything, it's a new PC.

Any suggestions please

Open the data path

C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts\2xxx\company.xxx

Delete the accdata folder
make a new accdata folder and open sage.


2xxx represents sage version numbers eg 2013
.xxx = company numbers eg .001
