Childcare Voucher

Hi, one our employee claim childcare voucher. How can I recorded on Sage 50? I assume the childcare cost go under 2250 (Childcare vouchers), but I am not sure for admin fee - please advise for Nominal. Can you please help me with the journal entry.

Well... It depends.
Childcare vouchers are in lieu of wages.
How are you treating them in payroll? Are you even putting them through payroll?
Do you want to analyse the expenditure on them or are they just a cost of employment as far as you are concerned?
Are you buying them through an agent or direct? You mention and admin fee? How are you treating the purchase, have you got a purchase invoice?

Hi,
Thank you for your response.
We treating them in payroll. We deduct the childcare voucher before Total Gross amount on Payroll (before Tax Deduction).
We don't want to analyse the expenditure, just the cost of employment.
We are buying them through an agent and have a purchase invoice.

So when the invoice arrives form the Agent you just post it to the Gross Wages account (Typically 7000) and that is it.
