No but Yes When you use the SDK or the UI you get different results, for normal use it is not possible to change
I guess you want this for cosmetic reasons on a layout? In which case you can replace the field with an expression which is the value of the Field +1
You may find, numbering goes strange when you insert/delete items. Sorting re-numbers lines and so on, so you can't rely on them keeping the same numbers.
Flesh out what you are doing and I can try and be more helpful.
