Memorised Invoices Dont Update Product Change

Hi
I am trying to create memorised invoices for support contracts which are invoiced out on a monthly basis. These need to contain the to and from date in the description line. I thought the best way to do this would be to create a product called support, then memorise this for each customer. However when I make change to the product description these are not updated on the memorised invoices.
Is there a way this can be updated automatically or a better way to go about this?
