Hi Bruce,

Annoying problem seems to have started yesterday where the latest SOP isn't on the SOP list. The "last SOP" number on the bottom right of the screen is correct and it you open the new SOP window and type the number in it comes up. If you then do a new SOP then the previous one appears at the bottom of the SOP list and the new latest one is now missing,,,and so on,,,,,and so on..... Any ideas ?

The index is probably damaged, run re index and compress, be vigilant about backups as this suggests issues with networking or io so could be a precursor, or it could have just been a powercut, brown out or a glitch, better safe than sorry.

I'll give that a try. We did have a power cut last week but only for a fraction of a second and the server with the sage data on is on a UPS now which I hoped would eliminate short term power cut problems. Cheers, Nick

I have the same problem with Sage

What version of Sage are you running?

Did you reindex and compress?

Re-Index and compress fix the problem, but not for long.

After day or 2 is doing it again and few hours after it is following by error.

My question is if i restore a backup into brand new database is it making any difference?
Do you have any suggestions for fighting with this indexing problem?

Sounds like you have an unstable network environment.

I would get your hardware support people to investigate and fix the issues
