Archiving old years

Post by cronley2804 » 26 Feb 2014, 10:16

Version 17.0.15.208 via windows 2007
Is it possible to archive off old years and set up completely new one using the brought forward balances but then not showing the old data in the nominals, but still able to view if needed? Or is it possible to just archive certain nominals?
We are a 2 charity organisation at the moment and run the 2 charities through one sage using different nominals for each charities needs, however we are merging at year end so will only need the one set of nominals rather than being split, is there an easy way to do this in our current version of Sage?

Thanks

An archive is a snap shot of the data.

When you do a year end, you can run the "clear audit trail process" this removes all the "no longer required" transactions from the audit trail and will only leave the outstanding transactions.
