Sage Emailing Not Compatible

Post by ChrisP » 10 Oct 2013, 16:16

Hi, Currently we have Sage 2012 18.1.0.20. Ever since we upgraded from 2010 and prior we are unable to use the email facility, whether it is using it from customers or suppliers modules. It is not compatible with the version of Tobit David Infocenter we use (8.10a.2016). One answer I believe is to upgrade Tobit, but this is expensive as we would have to upgrade another programme and our server is pretty old. Is there a patch I can download or an answer to this problem? It means at the moment we cannot automatically email statements or letters out directly from Sage. The only way of emailing is to create individual reports, save them as PDFs, then go to Tobit and attach the previously created PDF. This ofcourse is very tiresome and long winded. Hope you can help.

Sage integrates with Outlook as an email client for MAPI mail delivery. It can also use SMTP.

I know nothing of TOBIT DAVID, I assume this an email client?

If Tobit is incompatible, I would use either Outlook or SMTP to send the mails.
