Every time I open a customer or supplier record an empty file screen pops up and has to be closed using the mouse. I recently put Sage onto my new laptop.

What do you mean by "an empty file screen"?

If you think it is something to do with the re-installation of Sage on a new PC I would do a clean reinstall.

Hi,
I have re-installed and that hasn't helped. In fact (weirdly) sage automatically re-installed the 4 companies that were previously loaded as well. I was expecting the data to be empty until I 'restored' the info myself.
When i open a customer or supplier record a file screen opens showing the data path:
e.g. if in open a record for a supplier called Arnold a screen pops up:

ARNOLD
folder picture<<2011>company.002>attachments>supplier>ARNOLD
This folder is empty.

Before I can access the record I have close the folder.
Such a waste of time, please help?

Please follow the instructions for a CLEAN reinstall that I gave you a link to, you will not have any companies reinstalled if you follow them as it will delete everything and give you a new blank canvass (So make sure you have your data backed up first).
