I've recently moved our Sage to a network location so that it can be accessed from several computers. I grabbed the folder c:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts\2012\Company.000 and moved it to the network folder.
When I next booted Sage it said that the company could not be found (obviously, because I've moved it). I then re-added the company by using the network location //server/Sage/company.000
Is this the correct way of moving the data to a network location? Is there anything else that I need to do?
We're using Sage 50 Accounts 2012.

Re: Moving data to network location
It is fine.
There are issues with using unc names on some systems mapped drives are much faster.
you need to be sure you are not in a mixed SMB environment ie Win7 and Win XP as that causes performance issues
you want to configure your antivirus to not scan the sage directories/files
