Sage Line 50 2011 v17 is killing me!

Hi,

In our office we had two computers, 1 x 32 bit Vista home and 1 x 64 bit Windows 7 home talking to each other via a router just fine.

We added a new computer with 64 bit Windows 7 professional and since then, we have lived in SAGE hell!

We have tried so many things and have established that all three work fine in safe mode locally (I wouldn't even dream of it working well networked), but only the Vista computer works well locally whilst in normal mode. That points to something in the OS but then Sage have taken our file and loaded it on their windows 7 machine in 2 seconds flat.

Anti virus isn't an issue as we didn't even have anti virus on them until after the issue was happening and i am somewhat doubtful a virus is the problem now. It's certainly not the checking for a virus and we even tried turning it off the files anyway.

We have put the file on two vanilla windows 7 computers and the same result, crap speed with that file.

Totally ran out of ideas and I'm willing to try any suggestions, within reason.

Thanks,

Ant

One other thing I've thought, could it have been a Windows 7 update that's changed everything?

If you unplug the "added" "new computer with 64 bit Windows 7 professional" does the performance go back to being as good as it was?
If not then I suspect that you may have mis-attributed the issue or I have misunderstood your description.

Crap is a rather generic term, it doesn't really help me understand what the issue is, where is it crap what is is crap at, is loading the application crap, searching the data crap. Are you sure it was not crap before?

How is the performance with locally held data ie demodata or is that crap as well?
