Attaching PDFs to an invoice

We send out invoices with paper copies of tickets attached, between 10-80 tickets.
We are hoping to start archiving our tickets with a scanner.
Is it possible to associate the scanned tickets for an invoice with the invoice within sage?
Which we could then invoice.
Seems unlikely, but worth asking to see if anyone has come up with anything.
We run Line 50 v.12 on Win 7 64 bit. 3 Computors running off a nas.

Sounds like the problem is the paper tickets.

What is the purpose of the paper tickets? Why do you have them?

Hello Bruce,
You are correct. The tickets are the problem.
The tickets are proof of deliveries for our customers.
They require a paper copy for loads delivered and loads taken away.
We would like e tickets but the clients won't accept them and we have many subcontractors who wouldn't invest is the required tech.
So for the moment we are stuck with the paper tickets - tons of them!
We were hoping to to at leat reduce the amount of paper we have to post out and speed up searching through our archives.

There are system out there which allow the attachment of items to invoice in Sage 50.

Have a look at Paperless and let me know what you think.

Will do.
Thanks for taking the time.
You may recall you put our accounts back together after they got corrupted.
We were running from a NAS, wich you thought may have caused the problem.
We are now about to try running it from Dropbox.
So expect a call!

Is that John?

DO NOT TRY IT!!!

dropbox will get loads of sync conflicts and make a mess of your data.

Bruce,
It is John.
I will take your advice.
It ran ok with one computer, but I can see how 3 could cause problems.
Thanks for the help.

Regards
John

On one computer dropbox is just backing up which is fine, the problem comes when the same file is changed in 2 different places at the same time, dropbox can't sycn there is a conflict and which file should it keep? It doesn't know.

dropbox is great for backup, but don't try and sync sage with it, if you are really careful and sync before and after use at each workstation and make sure no one else uses it, then it does work, but as soon as you slip up, it will all go wrong.

See my backup guide for information on using dropbox, there is also a link there for a free account with extra storage.

Darn spammers... it went completely mad, hundreds of registrations and posts. Took half a day to find out how they got past the anti spam, fix it and clear up the mess.
