Hi, recently when we click remittance on the bank screen, it crashes (hangs) sage. Not sure why this would suddenly start happening, nothing has changed.
We are running Sage 2012.
Thank you for your help.

I suspect that the remittance advice table has a damaged index or is damaged itself.
I would start by running the reindex and compress options in file>maintenance
If not, I could fix the data by rebuilding the remittance table, this would however, loose the history and I would have to charge for my time.

Thanks Bruce,
We have already tried to reindex and compress with no luck.
We would like to send our data to you, how quickly can you do it? and what costs are involved?
Regards,
David

Assuming it is only a matter of rebuilding the table (wiping all the data) the whole process of restoring, rebuilding, checking and backing up should take 30 mins to 1 hour. I charge £54.20 per hour.
My availability changes by the hour, give me a ring to fix a good time. If we pick the right time you should be "down" for an hour plus the time it takes to email/transfer the data which will only be considerable if you have a large backup file. Doing a "data only" backup will keep the size down
