Can anyone please help me.
My company has been using sage line 50 version 6 for some 15 years on a very old pc running windows 95 (no point in changing).
Last week I was taking payments off as normal, but come the end of the week I could not even get the payment to preview, before printing off.
I go into Bank - Reports - Day Books Customer Receipt Summary (BNKSRS.SRT) type in dates (25-6-2012 - 30-6-2012 last week) then run, instead of payments showing, the screen comes back with no information found for this report.
Other people can use this comp, as we do the invoices on it, plus have price files from our suppliers, so thay could of done something whilst on it.
I have even restored sage (last time a backed it up was beginning of june) but it still wont let me preview any weeks bank report.
Any help to fix this would be great.

Are the transactions in the audit trail?

All transactions that I have either taken off or put on show in the individual customers pages and if I go through maintenance to correction page, there are showing that I have taken them off.
My customer reports and suppliers reports are showing and printing fine.
We could of done something to stop this happening, but everything looks how it should etc

That doesn't help as I don't understand. You say in corrections "there are showing that I have taken them off" How exactly does it show that a transaction has been "taken off"

Can you go to a customer account look for some of these transactions.

make a note of the transaction numbers.

Go to the bank account that the transactions were posted to and in the account history check that those transaction numbers are present.

Go to the financails and check that those transactions are present.

In Financials reports, run one of the audit trail reports enter one of the transaction numbers as the from and to audit trail number and see if you can preview the transaction on a report.

What I am trying to establish is if the problem is that the data is not there/broken/corrupt or that the report is not working.

Many thanks for your last reply regarding my problem with printing off.
I tried running the transactions through financails like you said and they showed up, then I tried previewing/printing off through bank reports and they showed up.
Really dont understand why they didnt for a week or so, (but touch wood) it will be fine now.
