Sage Line 50 Version 13

Hi All.

I have just changed computers and now run Windows 7 64 bit, before I ran XP. I have had many problems getting things running and have had to resort to running my Sage Line 50 ver. 13 in the XP mode within the Windowa Virtual PC feature to get the version to work properly. (Sage Line 50 Version 13 is not workable 100% with Windows 7, informed by Sage help.)

When I ran XP, I used to be able to e-mail my invoices and Staements out to my customers using the e-mail address that was set up in their record and the commands embedded in the invoice and statement layouts. Using this new system, the Sage progamme appears to want me to set up all new e-mail settings on the computer. I am still using the old Invoice and Staement settings and still using Office 2007 as my e-mail client.

Is there an easy way to get my settings to work again? Does anyons know of a help file to guide me through all of this? I am sick of computers today!

Many thanks,

John

You need to upgrade to do it.

Virtual PC is not needed, There are no 64bit drivers for V13 PDF printer used to make the emails, so you just can't do it.

Your version is end of life and no longer supported, so upgrading is now very expensive.

You could buy a second hand PC with XP on it and use that, buy an upgrade (I will do a discount for you). If you want to save money Instant Accounts might offer an alternative.

Hi Bruce and thanks for the fast reply :P

If I got a copy of Windows 7 in 32 bit would that work? I already have a copy of Instant Acounts that I used before I purchased Line 50.

How much is a version of Line 50 that works on 64 bit?

Many thanks,

John

According to Sage V13 doesn't work with the 32bit version of Win7 either. (But it might in real life)

Upgrading is expensive because your product is end of life.

There is an offer on till the end of Feb 2012, whereby you can upgrade without having to sign up for the really expensive annual Sagecover Extra
