Accounting for deductions in wage journals

Hi, I've just started doing wage journals for the company I work for in Sage 50 Version 17, we are also new to using Sage in general, I need to know how to account for post tax deductions from wages for things like rent and uniforms when posting my wage journals. I know that they will be credit entries but what do I then do with the balances I will have left on these accounts?
