I am using sage line 50 V12. I am facing problem of cost price. We process purchase order and post the invoice etc. Then of same qunatity we process sales order and invoice etc. post it. So cost price of that stock would realse for only that stock sold. when next purchase order process its cost price apply current invoice and also change the previous ones so profit for all previous transactions changed. Please guide me in this matter, i will be really very thankful. This is basically accounting setting something. need urgent reply.

There are several places where cost prices exist in Sage 50.

They exist on each of the stock movements and they exist on the stock records.

If you have variable stock costs then using the value on the stock movement is the way to track things.

There are a couple of valuation reports using the different methods, if products are non stock or negative stock, then this method is not going to work well as non stock items do not have movements and negative stock items assume the cost price and the actual stock has not arrived in stock at the point they were sold.
