Sage client manager/Instant version number issues

Hi - I have sage client manager 2009 & 2010. I have a client who uses sage instant 2009

We have had problems in the past with the data not working between the two 2009 systems due to version number differences - sage have helped us in the past, I am sure there was a file we either had to delete or re-name. My client has had help in the last month or so - but she now wants me to check her vat return and sage are refusing to help. So annoyed with myself for not writing down what they told us to do last time this happened.

My system tells me there are no further updates available - I am on 15.01.20.0191
My clients instant verison is 15.00.21.0021

My system therefore says it cannot install as data has been used on a later version

I have tried installing it on my 2010 - it says data is from an earlier version and needs updating - I click ok and it then gets stuck on a window 'waiting to open file: 0.DLM' - pulling my hair out here - any ideas??

There is a "tool" available, but what you do is delete the file called watermark.xml it is in the directory above ACCDATA for the dataset

aha - I think it has worked (well I am in, so it has) - thank you so much! I have logged your site to my favourites and think I will be heading your way for pay per query support rather than sage support - as will clients. Thanks again.
