Vertical Lines on Sage Invoice Layout

Hi All,
I'm setting up a new Invoice layout in Sage-50 2011 (Version 17.0.12.200) & I'm trying to get it to print vertical lines down the page, so that when we email invoices to customers they look the same as our printed invoices. I've tried a couple of things:
1. Put small vertical lines in the detail sections of the report. These print ok, but only for the number of lines that contain data.
2. Create a new template with vertical lines. The lines print all the way down the page, but only in preview. I can't get it to include the template when I print the report to either a real printer or to PDF.

Anyone any suggestions.

TIA,
Andrew

I wish I had time to play with this.

I have notice that the templates do get printed when you email invoices, so in theory, I guess it is possible to make a template and do it that way, but no idea how to make a template, anyone got an idea?

I've tried but have never been able to find a way to do it. There is a 3rd party application called Spindle that can do this but it is. of course, at an additional cost.

I have done it!

You just need to make a vertical line template.

Templates are editable in the report designer, nothing special about them as far as I can see.

Attached is the one I made for my test, try copying it into the templates folder and having a go with it.
