2011 - Report Browser issues

Good morning,

I have just upgraded from Sage Line 50 V12 to Sage 50 Accounts 2011.

I have two issues with the Report Browser dialogue.

1. When I email a report there is no visible indication that the action has been completed. I would like the dialogue to close once the email has been successfully sent but any visual cue would help.

2. I would like to customise the Report Browser button bar. In particular I would like to remove the 'New', 'Edit' and 'Delete' buttons.

I would be grateful for any help.

Thanks,

Ned

You need to send your wishes to sage for the "wish list".

When you send reports via email, if you use MAPI then you know they have gone. If you use SMTP then I suggest CC'ing a copy to your own address so you know they have gone.

We do not use MAPI, Outlook or Exchange.

I have set-up a mailbox on our internal IMAP/POP/SMTP server especially for Sage outgoing reports. I have also set-up an SMTP service on a user-defined port for use by Sage. I intercept outgoing messages to that port and redirect them to the 'Drafts' folder of my Sage mailbox. This is working fine but it doesn't stop people clicking the email icon for a report several times before they notice all the duplicate messages arriving in the Drafts folder.

They'll learn in time.

Thanks for your help.
