Emailing out invoices - SMTP

We currently generate approx 300 invoices a month.

We generate them all at once, and then highlight them all and click email in the invoice list.

It takes a few minutes, but they all get updated and say that they have been emailed in the list.

I have the invoice report configured to use our Google Apps (gmail) account using SMTP, and all seems to work fine.

However when I check the sent folder in gmail, I can see that not all invoices have been sent out. It seems very random.

Has anyone seen this before? I really want to trust that Sage is sending out the invoices - but I am not at all confident at the moment.

Ok found more out about this problem.

In the invoice list, if you select a range of invoices to email out, and one account either doesn't have an email associated or it has an invalid email...

All invoices will say Emailed YES, but it will stop at the point of the one with the problem.

Looks like a pretty bad bug within Sage.

The way to know what has been sent is to CC a copy to a spare email address, then you know what has happened.

Hi Bruce - well I use SMTP so have just started checking the sent folder and watching the emails go out.

It's an annoying bug in Sage though.

As I suggested, CCing a copy is the easy way to see what has been sent.
