I paid into the bank 2 cheques for 4487.31 from customers. but there is an error on the bank statement which shows 4487.30 so a penny out, Iam in the middle of a bank recon so need to know whaats the best way to deal with this 1p.The customer accounts are correct just the bank statement thats not.

I would to an adjustment posting in the bank rec to bad debt write off and be done with it.
