I currently have a list of Projects which have now been completed and closed. Unfortunately the list of project numbers is extensive and most of them have been completed for some time.

I know how to delete them but can someone tell me when deleted off the project listing are they archived somewhere in the system so that I can retrieve them in the future.

Not unless you've, er, archived a data set, e.g. at year end. Otherwise they're deleted.

If you wait until your year end, then the archive created at year end will keep them.
