Change to Limited Co from Partnership

Does anyone know if there is a simple way to change our data from a Partnership to Limited Company? Thx
There is no difference in the data!
All you need to do is to add a few extra accounts for shares and stuff in the nominal ledger (if you are going to properly maintain the balance sheet and not leave it to the accountants to do). Change the name and it is done.
Maybe I have misunderstood?
