Good afternoon,
We have recently started experiencing an issue with our Sage 50 2014 v 21.5.9.201.
It is hosted on a remote server, running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard. We access this sever via RDP sessions from our local machines. We had to take this route due to issues with Sage 50 not working properly on our Small Business Server.
We have been printing invoices and reports to our local computers for months with no issues. Recently however, Sage 50 has frozen whenever we try to print and the following error message has appeared - "Print Driver Host for 32bit applications has stopped working". We have to crash Sage via the task manager to be able to get the program working again. The only way we can print at present is to first export the document to a PDF, which we are able to print.
This issue is restricted to printing from Sage. All the other applications on the server are still able to print, our technical support contractors have looked into the issue and it seems that the problem is originating from Sage 50 somehow... This is happening with both of our printers. We are using business grade Ricoh Aficio printers.
I'd be really grateful for some advice on how to resolve this issue as it's preventing us from sending out Invoices!
Many thanks,
Keith

Re: Printing Issues from Sage 50
It sounds like an operating system issue.
I suspect it could be access rights.
I would try testing with a super admin user with user full local (RDP Client) full local(RDP Server) and domain administrator privileges and log on in a RDP session and see if they have the same issue.
