MAPI problem with V12 and Outlook 2013

Hi

I have recently had major problems with computers and data.

I have had to re-install Line 50 v12 and have had to set up new invoice layouts because of lost data etc etc etc.

I am now at a stage where I want to email invoices to my customers, I have put their email addresses into Sage, but every time I go to send an email, I receive a message saying " REPORT DESIGNER - You do not have a MAPI-compatible e-mail program installed".

I have MS Outlook 2013 installed and it is set up as my default mail program.

What's wrong or what haven't I done?

Have you installed the 32 bit version of Office as opposed tot he 64 bit version?

Are the other office integration parts working Sage EIR - Send to Excel for example?

If you right click on a file in windows and choose send to>mail recipient does outlook open and an email get created with the file attached?

Was this working with Office 2013 before? If not what version of office did you use?

V12 pre-dates Office 2013 by a long way so it is possible that it might not work.

If I want to upgrade v12, what version can I go to, without having to get Sage themselves to convert data. i.e. quick fix????

Sage works with the 32bit version of Office NOT the 64 bit, Msoft provide both, if you install the 64Bit version, you will have lots of issues with other apps.

Sage convert about 5-6 versions in arrears to 12 will be converted by 2011-2012 both of which still pre-date your version of office.

If you want to upgrade sage will generally give you an interim version to install and convert data if needed, if you want fast, then I could convert the data for you.

Did you install sage BEFORE office?

If so reinstalling Sage may fix it.
