Ebay sales

Post by kjb1383 » 14 Oct 2015, 14:49

Hi,

I've finally convinced my partner to allow me to use sage instead of a complex spreadsheet.

We sell mainly on eBay, hundreds of sales a month.
At the moment on the spreadsheet every little cost is marked down and recorded, every individual sale. As you can imagine is quite labour intensive.

I'm now trying to caught up using sage. Do I continue with logging every sale or input a block receipt for eBay daily, weekly or monthly?
My suggestion of sage was to simplify things.

If I do the bulk sales receipts, do I then post the UK, EU AND International as different receipts?

Thanks in advance

There are lots of solutions.

You can download all the sales form ebay as a spreadsheet and (after some manipulation) import those sales into the sage audit trail.

Or

I could provide you with a third party program and some customisation, to import the file in the form is comes from eBay as multiple invoices in sage.

There is a custom filed in eBay that users use to put product codes in, if you do this, then we can import the invoices along with the product code, the Paypal receipt and you you get the full history in Sage.

I frequently do this importing as Sales Orders in Sage 50 so that the shipping back orders and paperwork are all managed from Sage.

You could do a similar thing with instant, updating invoices as they as shipped, anything not updated needs to be shipped.
