Base currency not being recognised

For some reason the powers that be in Sage have decided to us Sage 50 as a name for lots of different accounting systems and this has led to a lot of confusion.

The UK version is sold in UK Eire, Malta, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

It does get used in other parts of the world (eg China France) but it is not actively marketed.

This forum is for questions relating to the non UK versions.

Base currency not being recognised

Post by indrajitsingh » 17 Mar 2015, 17:19

We have been using Line 50 Financial contorller for over 10 years.
The software is set up for Foreign trader with base currency as local currency.
All customers are with base currency as default and all customer records are showing currency as the base currency.
When we try to book a new order it is giving an error message that the currecy you have selected for this customer does not have an exchange rate and shows the rate option.
We are currently just managing by putting the rate as 1.
The system was working fine all this time but for unkown reason it has started behaving like this
Any suggestions for remedy are most welcome.

Version 6 didn't have multi currency so, I suspect you are using something other than Sage 50, perhaps a non UK version?

Maybe Sage Pastel?
