Bank module not showing

Post by carolna » 08 Oct 2014, 13:29

Hi. I've started up my Sage this morning and everything's working perfect except the Bank Module. When I click on it it's a blank screen. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Is check data broken as well?

Sounds like it could be corrupt data.

Try a reindex and compress, backup first.

I can't get into maintenance either. When I click on close all other windows the maintenance box doesn't show. Any ideas? Is there another way to get into maintenance?

Your data is badly corrupt and probably unrecoverable.

You need professional assistance to verify the position.

However, I could walk you though deleting your data and restoring your last backup.

I have just had this problem at work. The bank module is blank and I cannot access the maintenance. I have restored a back from a couple of days ago when everything was fine however the bank module is still blank. Any advice?

The people experiencing this are on different versions of Sage 50 so unlikely to be an update to Sage.

My guess, in the absence of any further feedback from the users, is that the data is being corrupted by anti virus software, but there are som many things it could be.

If you can't get into maintenance then things are not good.

Rght just had a chat with a very helpful man on the tech team.

If you are running a copy of Avast antivirus, it would seem that Acast has been quarantining sage files by mistake which in turn is casuing this issue.

Open up your virus chest in Avast, find the sage files and restore them.

This has solved the issue for us. Information on this one can be found at :

Hope this helps everyone else.

Sean.

Yes, I've spoken to Sage support also and can confirm that my anti virus software has removed the sage files.

All restored and working again :)
