Duplicating a Company

Post by darrenfry » 28 Jul 2014, 13:47

Hi all

Sorry if this has been answered previously but the search function was not being too helpful....

I am not too familiar with Sage but we are implementing new piece of software to run all of our hire equipment tracking, quoting and invoicing etc. This system is able to link with Sage nice and easily, however we would like to setup a test company in Sage in order for us to have a play and get our heads around things before we go live.

What is the best way of essentially duplicating our current company account - with a new name - in order to run without messing up our main company data?

Thanks in advance! Any other ideas welcome 8)

You need multi company licence to do that.

what I would do is to do a fresh install on a stand alone PC, restore data, rename and test on that PC.
