Directors Loan Account

Help please
I wonder whether somone could help please. I need to create Directors Loan Account in Sage Line 50 with sub accounts. Expenditure put through the DLA needs to be categorised thus sub accounts.

Sage does not provide sub accounts.
For just about anything Sage :- Discount subscriptions, pay-as-you-go support, application integration, reports, layouts, linked excel spreadsheets, analysis or any other help making life with sage easier/less time consuming Contact me.

Hi Monica

As brucedenney says Sage does not provide sub accounts, however depending on whether you already use them for something else you could use departments to give you the extra breakdown. You would need to set up a different department for each expenditure then when adding the transaction to Sage you could assign it to the relevant department & then produce departmental repaorts to give you your breakdown.

A word of warning about sagewizard's suggestion about using departments.

At year end the balances are consolidated against department 0

This may have an impact on your usage, especially if the sub accounts are representing different directors.
