I'm really not too hot on Sage installation so I'm not sure what to do here.
I'm setting up a new PC to add to our office network, and installed Sage 2014 as a client. Which may have been a mistake as the server and the other clients are on 2013. (I'd been told by the guy that sold us sage that if I installed 2013 now then I would be forced to download an upgrade anyway, so when the 2014 disc turned up in the post I just used that). Upon installing and connecting to the server, it proceeded to convert all the data to 2014 format.
And now when the other clients try to log on they get a message that they shouldn't use a 2013 client with 2014 data, so should upgrade.
So should I upgrade all the clients to 2014? Should I upgrade the installation on the main machine also? Or should I (could I) convert the data back to 2013 and just install 2013 on all the clients? I have last nights backup from before the conversion. Have I gone wrong by installing 2014 in the first place?
Many thanks

If you upgrade the 2013 machines to 2014 with the same CD it should all be ok.
If not you should have a backup you made before you started and we could use that to put everything back on V2013.

What a palava! I started upgrading the other clients to 2014, then it transpired that some of the machines are XP and 2014 doesn't like xp. So I then had to re-install 2013 on all the machines, and reinstate the original backup from before this all started. I hate Sage sometimes!

There is no problem with V2014 and XP to my knowledge.
