Sage and customer communications

Post by sharon137 » 14 May 2013, 13:40

I email statements to my customers on a monthly basis.

Last month, I sent the email statements out ok but when I look at the individual customers, the communications tab doesn't show I have sent the statement.

How do I check my statement so it doesn't make the same mistake and is there any way of adding these without going through each one individually?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sharon

Is the report prompting you to update?

Have you upgraded recently?
Are you accessing a network install where the network computer hosting the data does not have Sage install?

I have asked my IT people.

Their reply is:

That is partially correct, sage is not installed on the Server but I was under the impression you used the data locally on your PC as over the network was slow, and backed up sage to the network.

I think the issue is that when the upgrade was done, the new versions of the statements were not put in the data location and so you are using old layouts that have not been updated.

If you run it locally then the upgrade should have done that.

In the data path there is a directory called layouts.

If you copy the attached file into that directory you should have a layout that works (fingers crossed).
