Joining Tables for Despatch Notes

Post by tonycox911 » 11 Jan 2013, 15:11

Hi

Hoping somebody could help. Sage 50 Pro 2011 V17.0.15.208

As we have many delivery addresses and contact names for both customers and suppliers, I have been able to insert the two fields
Sales_Ledger.Del_Contact and Sales_Ledger.Del_Telephone into sales orders and purchase orders however,
the sales ledger table is not available when trying to edit the desptach note layout. We need the above two fields inserting in our despatch notes.

I have joined the ACCOUNT_REF of both Sales_Ledger table and the Sales_Order table, but cannot get it to work when previewing

Any thoughts ?

Many thanks

Tony

Can you check that the standard layout works.

you say "cannot get it to work when previewing" in what way is it not working, as far as I can tell, the table seems to be linked fine.

Hi
Thanks for looking at the report.

After your reply a tried the report again and the two fields showed up, however trying the report again, nothing shows up now.

All other fields on the report are visible as I use this report all the time, I have only just recently added the delivery contact name and delivery telephone, It seems to be intermittent.
Any thoughts

Hi

After further investigation, these fields only work when you go back into customers and set the delivery address to be the default delivery address, which seems a bit odd.

I think that could be due to the defaults not being properly set. I have fixed it int he past by exporting all the customers and then importing them back in again.

Hi
I am revisiting this problem again and the system will not print out on the despatch note the delivery contact name and tel number even though the correct
field are in the report. You mention about exporting all the customers and importing again, how do I export customers ?
Thanks for your help

There is a Customer Records (CSV Extended) report which you run / export as CSV.
In File>Import>Customers this will match the Default Mapping template.
