I am trying to get an itemised list of all expenditure from SAGE into Excel. can this be done by ODBC or is it a standard report (if so which one). thanks

It can be done via ODBC it is also available as a standard report.

If you run financial reports>Miscellaneous>Transaction CSV this will do what you want.
