Bank Balance Difference

Post by shell990shell » 19 Oct 2012, 15:04

Hi, wondering if you can help me (again!).

I am using Sage 50 Accounts Plus Version Number 18.1.0.20 on Windows XP Professional

My closing bank balance as at the year end differs considerably to the figure on my trial balance. It is not the effect of the unreconciled transactions. What else can cause this problem? Deleting or cancelling previously reconciled transactions? If so, is there a way to trace them? The Year End was never closed for the previous financial year, so could it go back as far as two years?

Thanks in advance,

Michelle

Hi Michelle

Deleting previously reconciled transactions will alter the balance.

It id hard to trace, however, if you use the PDFs created each time you reconciled you might be able to find it.
