Hello Forum,
We have an issue that purchase orders will continue to go on fine, and when you check the last PO on the tool bar at the bottom, it might say 9600 for example. When you go to the PO list, it only shows up to 9550. No matter the view. Only way to fix this (and we have tried sage cover) is to re-index the PO list.
Bit more background info: We saw all the way up to entry 9600 earlier today, then did some more work on sage (not PO related) and when going back in to entry 9600, the last 50+ vanished. Sage tool bar still on 9600.
Has anyone has this, and if so, do they also resort to indexing all the time? or do you find out what caused it?
Willing to pay to have this issue resolved, so hope this is the right place to ask.

Re: Purchase orders dissapearing
lol, you can ring me if you want paid support Kieran, you should have my direct line number...
I thought you were on Instant accounts, or is this a client?
anyway a simple ReIndex and Compress should fix it for you.
Prevention is a bigger issue, V2012 is much more stable, but it still happens.
There are 2 things I have come across that can do it, damage to the actual data in sage when the duff order is removed, then it stops corrupting.
The other is the stalwart of Sage issues, networking problems the key causes today, mixed SMB1 and SMB2 environment and flaky gigabit networking, but I would expect to see other issues happening.
Using the "natural" sort order (ascending by PO number) tends to help reduce the issue

Re: Purchase orders dissapearing
Hi Bruce,
Yes, it is for a client. They would ideally like to avoid having to re-index every month. I am still happily on Instant, thanks for the help last time!
If you can think of any way to fix this from happening, rather than just the work around, I would be mighty grateful.
Kind regards
Kieran

"Sage tool bar still on 9600."
Can you clarify, are you talking about the bit at the top with the magnifying glass to the right of it or the bit at the bottom that says x out of xxx orders selected
