VAT Cash Accounting VAT return report picking up invoices

Hi

Sorry if this has been posted before but I am new and need urgent help as my VAT return is due. I have recently upgraded from v10 to v18 Sage line 50 and we had to convert the data as the two versions are not compatable. So anyway I have come to do my first VAT return on the new version and my VAT reconciliation and reports are pulling invoices into my figures but as I am using the VAT cash accounting scheme my reports should only show receipts and payments and not invoices. Has anyone else ever had this problem or does anyone know how I can fix it?

That is how "CASH" accounting works, you pay / reclaim the VAT on the payments and receipts against invoices and not on the invoices themselves.

This is not a problems it is normal operation, it is how things have worked in all versions of Sage 50 / Line 50 and Sterling accounts all the way back to the days of DOS.
